ADREMED® WIND Total Hip Prosthesis

ADREMED® WIND Total Hip Prosthesis is a modular system designed to replace the hip joint in patients affected by osteoarthritis, fractures, or degenerative conditions. The system is composed of several key components:

Femoral Stem:

The femoral stem is constructed from Cobalt-Chrome-Molybdenum (CoCrMo) alloys, designed for maximum strength and stability. Its modularity allows surgeons to select different sizes to match the patient's anatomy. Available in both cemented and cementless versions, the cementless option features a porous or hydroxyapatite-coated surface that promotes bone ingrowth (osseointegration) for long-term fixation.

Femoral Head:

The femoral head is made from metal (Cobalt-Chrome-Molybdenum (CoCrMo) alloys) to provide a smooth articulation with the acetabular liner.Metal heads provide durability and robustness.A variety of sizes and neck lengths ensure proper fit, stability, and range of motion for the patient.

Acetabular Cup:

The acetabular shell is a Cobalt-Chrome-Molybdenum (CoCrMo) component implanted into the pelvic bone to act as the hip socket. It has a porous outer surface to encourage bone ingrowth for stable fixation. For added security, the shell can be fixed with screws in patients with weakened or compromised bone structure.

Acetabular Liner:

Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) options are available, offering enhanced wear resistance and long-term performance by reducing wear debris. The acetabular liner, typically made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fits within the acetabular shell and creates a low-friction surface for the femoral head to articulate.

Features:

Modular System: The ADREMED® WIND system offers multiple component sizes and configurations, allowing surgeons to customize the implant to the patient’s specific anatomical and clinical needs.

Osseointegration Support: The femoral stem and acetabular shell are available with surface treatments such as porous coatings or hydroxyapatite to encourage osseointegration, ensuring secure and long-term fixation.

Biomechanical Precision: The prosthesis is designed to replicate the natural biomechanics of the hip joint, providing a natural range of motion and reducing complications.

Durability: Advanced materials, such as Metal femoral heads and cross-linked polyethylene liners, offer exceptional wear resistance and durability, extending the lifespan of the prosthesis.

With ADREMED® WIND Total Hip Prosthesis, patients can expect a high-quality, reliable solution for total hip replacement, ensuring improved mobility, reduced pain, and a better quality of life.
